Dr. Sam Baber
D.D.S.
Meet Dr. Baber
Dr. Baber graduated cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio with research honors and additional elective education in implant dentistry, endodontics, and managing dental emergencies. He received the award for Most Outstanding Implant Education and was on the Dean’s List. Prior to dental school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Baylor University and a master’s degree from the Texas A&M College of Medicine in Medical Sciences.
Dr. Baber has gained experience in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and working with elderly populations by working in various clinical settings. In an attempt to provide quality care for his patients, Dr. Baber actively pursues continuing education above what is required to maintain his dental license. He is a Fellow in the American Dental Implant Association, a rare award given based on many hours of education and the completion of several clinical cases. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the American Dental Implant Association.
Dr. Baber and his two sons enjoy spending time on the family farm, traveling in their RV, and doing just about anything outdoors!
Dr. Paul Maupin

Meet Dr. Maupin
Dr. Paul Maupin is a native Texan, born in Dallas and raised in Artesia, New Mexico. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business from Lubbock Christian University before completing dental school at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry.
In 2005, Dr. Maupin opened his first practice in Roswell, New Mexico. In 2012, he
welcomed a partner, and together they built Maupin and Brown Dentistry. Through years of serving the community and focusing on patient-centered care, the practice grew to become one of the largest and most highly reviewed dental offices in Southeast New Mexico.
Dr. Maupin has a special interest in dental implants and completed advanced surgical
training through the Misch Implant Institute Surgical Continuum. Over the course of his career, he has placed more than 4,500 dental implants. His focus has always been on providing long-term, predictable solutions while keeping treatment accessible. By
emphasizing efficiency and operating with an in-house lab, he has worked to maintain
high standards of quality while keeping fees straightforward and affordable.
With a background in business, Dr. Maupin believes that thoughtful systems allow a dental team to deliver state-of-the-art care without unnecessary overhead. He is in-network with most major dental insurance providers and is committed to making modern dentistry attainable for families.
Dr. Maupin and his family have been in Waco for a little over three years and have truly grown to love the community. His wife, a Baylor graduate from East Texas, was excited to be closer to family, and together they have enjoyed putting down roots here.
Their two sons love sports, and the move to Waco has provided wonderful opportunities for both their family and their practice. Dr. Maupin feels grateful to serve a community that has welcomed them so warmly.
